Law Day 2024: Women in High Courts

Law Day is an annual commemoration held May 1 to celebrate the rule of law and cultivate a deeper understanding of the legal system. The YLS Service to the Public Committee invites you to join us and our partners at this Law Day 2024 event. This event is free and open to the public.

Oregon Supreme Court Justice Rebecca Duncan will speak about her pathway to the bench, and PSU Professor Chris Shortell will discuss his recent research on women in high courts. The talk will be followed by a Q&A session with Justice Duncan. Oregon Women Lawyer's travelling exhibition "History of Women Lawyers in Oregon" will be on display.
