Civil Legal Help for Sexual Assault Survivors

A Training for the VRLC Pro Bono Program

Please join the Victim Rights Law Center (VRLC) for a lunchtime presentation about its pro bono program. The VRLC is the only nonprofit organization in Oregon that provides free legal representation to sexual assault survivors. During this fast-paced, thought-provoking workshop, you'll learn about the devastating impact that sexual violence can have on a victim's privacy, safety, employment, education, housing, financial stability, and immigration status; how the VRLC works with survivors to address those issues; and what you can do to help.

Who should attend? This program is for any attorney who wants to improve sexual assault survivors' access to justice. Because we are currently operating under a grant that provides matching funds for every attorney hour donated before September 30, 2019, we ask that attendees be willing to commit to taking on at least one pro bono legal matter or research project (each of which typically takes about 5-15 hours) within the next four months.

Complimentary lunch and CLE credit will be available.

We are extremely grateful to Miller Nash Graham & Dunn and to Stoel Rives for hosting these presentations.

RSVP: Space is limited - please sign up for one of the two presentations here.
