Musical Instrument Donation Drive

Organized by the YLS Service to the Public Committee

Have a musical instrument sitting in your closet collecting dust? The YLS Service to the Public Committee is organizing a contact-free donation drive to collect used instruments for students in the David Douglas School District music program. Even during the COVID-19 school closures, students are in need of instruments.

WHEN: November 30, 2020, between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
WHERE: 888 SW 5th Ave (drop off outside glass doors; someone will be on the other side of the glass to accept your donation).
DETAILS: Prior to November 30, please email YLS STP Committee member Lucy Ohlsen at lucy.ohlsen@lewisbrisbois.com with the instrument(s) you will be donating.

Any instruments* except for pianos are accepted, but especially appreciated are violas, violins, cellos, basses, flutes, oboes, clarinets, saxophones, trumpets, trombones, tubas, bell kits, snare drums, and drum stands.

* Instruments that are “ready to play” are preferred, but not required. If instrument needs to be cleaned, please attach a tag to the case stating “needs cleaning.”

QUESTIONS?: Please contact Lucy Ohlsen at lucy.ohlsen@lewisbrisbois.com.
