Court-Appointed Arbitrators CLE
Location: Mark Hatfield Courthouse, 1000 S.W. Third Ave., Jury Assembly Room
OWLS and OAPABA present
Few women and even fewer racially and ethnically diverse attorneys currently serve as court-appointed arbitrators. Have you ever wondered about serving as a court-appointed arbitrator, but were unsure of the process? Would you like to apply, but want to know what experience is required to become appointed? Oregon Women Lawyers (OWLS) and the Oregon Asian Pacific American Bar Association (OAPABA) have partnered to present a CLE to demystify the process and requirements of becoming a court-appointed arbitrator. Come learn about what service entails, how to get on the list, and other information.
Panelists: Multnomah County Presiding Judge Nan Waller, OAPABA member Xin Xu, Paul Xochihua, and Kristen David from the Clackamas County Arbitration Commission. OHSU's Helle Rode will serve as moderator.
