YLS Community Service Day with LifeWorks NW

LifeWorks NW is a leading nonprofit agency in Oregon that promotes healthy communities by providing prevention, mental health and addiction services. Children's Relief Nursery is a community-based program of LifeWorks NW that specializes in child abuse prevention services for families with children ages 0-4.
Dress Code: Cocktail attire or black dress pants, white dress shirt
Time: Specific volunteer positions have different time requirements, but in general volunteers are asked to be there from 5:30 to 9:30 pm.
Volunteers may be assigned to the following positions:
- Outside Greeter/Live Auction Recorder - Stand at outside doors to welcome guests and direct them upstairs to the ballroom. During the live auction, assist Auctioneer in recording bid numbers. Will receive instruction from Auctioneer prior to event.
- Door monitors - Staff doors into ballroom; make sure guests have registered on the way in, direct them to check-out on the way out.
- Heads/Tails Sales - Walk through the crowd selling participation items for Heads/Tails, writing down bid numbers in exchange for entry into the game.
- Live Auction Spotters - Assist Auctioneer in spotting bid numbers during Live Auction and Special Appeal. Must be able to speak up to get Auctioneer's attention from across the room. Will receive instruction from Auctioneer prior to event.
