AILA Benefit Gala & Dinner - American Immigration Lawyer Association Awards

The AILA Gala & Benefit Dinner event is on Wednesday, November 6. All proceeds from the program and reception will benefit Oregon nonprofit immigration legal service providers that serve Oregon's immigrant and refugee communities.
This year, Governor John Kitzhaber has been selected to receive the 2013 Outstanding Leadership for Immigrant Rights Award for his outstanding leadership in promoting the rights of immigrants in Oregon. The 2013 Oregon Immigrant Achievement Award will be given to Jaime Limon-Guzman, a dreamer and immigration activist. The Oregon Immigrant Achievement Award was established to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of immigrants who have made a significant contribution to Oregon. Also being honored is immigration attorney Philip James Smith of Nelson Smith LLP, who is the recipient of the 2013 Gerald H. Robinson Excellence in Advocacy Award. This award is given annually to an Oregon AILA member in recognition of advocacy and excellence in the practice of immigration law.
The awards will be presented during a special program and reception at our Gala Benefit on Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at the Governor Hotel in Portland from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. You can get more information and buy your tickets here:
