Asbestos Litigation 101: What Every Oregon Practitioner Needs to Know

$60 for MBA members | $95 non-members

Asbestos trials occupy a disproportionate share of the Multnomah County docket and regularly result in multimillion-dollar verdicts. Yet despite its economic and legal significance, asbestos practice is confined to a relatively small number of plaintiff and defense lawyers and remains a mystery to most practitioners. In this two-hour CLE, Matthew P. Bergman and Vanessa J. Firnhaber Oslund will provide an overview of the scientific, medical and legal issues that arise in every asbestos case, a discussion of the unique factual and legal issues in Oregon asbestos litigation and a historic perspective on past, present and future trends in asbestos litigation.
