Asbestos trials occupy a disproportionate share of the Multnomah County docket and regularly result in multimillion-dollar verdicts. Yet despite its economic and legal significance, asbestos practice is confined to a relatively small number of plaintiff and defense lawyers and remains a mystery to most practitioners.
