In today's political environment, immigrants and refugees are under constant attack. Our non-profit immigration service providers are an invaluable line of defense for protecting them, but they need our assistance to meet the ever-growing demand for services. Please plan to attend this year's Gala and help us provide assistance to these organizations. We will also be honoring the individuals below for their tireless work and dedication to Oregon's immigrant communities.
Oregon Immigrant Achievement Award (Recognizing and celebrating the accomplishments of an immigrant who has made significant and lasting contributions to the Oregon community): Judge Xiomara Torres
Gerald H. Robinson Award for Excellence in Advocacy (Recognizing the accomplishments of an AILA Oregon Chapter member who has demonstrated excellence as an advocate for the rights of immigrants): Nicole Nelson
Richard M. Ginsburg Outstanding Leadership for Immigrant Rights Award (Recognizing outstanding leadership and advocacy on behalf of the immigrant community in Oregon): Hala Gores, Rima Ghandour, and Edie Rogoway
We will also be honoring the 2019 American Immigration Council Fifth Grade Essay Contest Winner.
