Regular Member $140 ($70 prorated rate offered June 1-Sept. 16) - Any attorney licensed to practice law for the first time in any jurisdiction in 2016 or prior.
 
Second Year Attorney $60 - Any attorney licensed to practice law for the first time in any jurisdiction in 2017.
 
New Admittee Member $0 - Any attorney licensed to practice law for the first time in any jurisdiction in 2018 or 2019. 
 
Retired Member $45 - Any attorney who is 60 years of age or older and is retired from the active practice of law, or any attorney who is disabled and is retired from the practice of law.
 
Associate Member $70 - Any law clerk, paralegal, legal assistant, legal secretary, legal investigator, court reporter or any other person working in a law-related area. First-time Associate membership must be submitted in writing (print and return PDF form).
 
Affiliate Member $140 ($70 prorated rate offered June 1-Sept. 16) - Any member of the general public who does not fit the criteria for any other membership category. Affiliate Members may not vote and are not eligible to participated in the MBA Health Plan.
 
Law Student $0 - Any student presently enrolled in an accredited law school. Law Student membership is free.

Notice Regarding Tax Deductibility of MBA Dues

Dues paid to the Multnomah Bar Association are not deductible for income tax purposes as a charitable contribution. However, a portion of the dues may be deductible as a business expense. Check with your tax expert for advice. The portion of your MBA dues that is not deductible for any purpose is $5, which represents your share of expenses incurred or expected to be incurred by the association for political activity.
