LOVE DAY 2024 is the first of its kind.
On February 14 from 3-5 p.m., a team of judges at the Multnomah County Central Courthouse are volunteering their time to officiate free wedding ceremonies for couples from diverse backgrounds who have socioeconomic hardships. The aim of this celebration is to support access to justice and highlight the importance of ensuring all individuals, regardless of their socio-economic status or cultural heritage, have equal opportunities to participate in marriage ceremonies recognized and protected by the law.
This event is offered in collaboration with the Multnomah County Courthouse, Multnomah County and City Commissioners, community-based organizations, Oregon affinity bars, Oregon Women Lawyers, the Multnomah Bar Association and the Multnomah Bar Foundation.
