Navigating the U.S. legal system is complex for anyone, and even more so for non-English speaking clients. Our speakers will address common problems in representing non-English speaking clients, and resources and tips to address those problems.  Topics to be addressed include racial profiling, representing non-English speakers in depositions and at trial, choosing an effective interpreter and immigration issues to keep in mind during representation. Our speakers are Kevin Diaz, Legal Director, ACLU of Oregon, Jessica Boell, Immigrant Law Group and Peter Willcox-Jones, Cosgrave Vergeer Kester.
