What Non-Tax Lawyers Need to Know About the Tax Aspects of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act and the CARES Act

Steven D. Nofziger and Peter A. Evalds will be presenting an update on the tax aspects of federal legislation recently enacted in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic to help non-tax lawyers understand what the new laws mean for their clients. They will provide an overview of the tax provisions in the Families First Coronavirus Response Act and the CARES Act, as well as relevant regulatory guidance, and answer commonly asked questions. Steven and Peter are attorneys in the tax group of Foster Garvey P.C. in Portland, where they advise clients on tax planning and business matters.

1 hour of OSB MCLE general credit will be applied for.
